2020.09.28 21:51 PimpNamedSlickback7 Deleted Tinder today and I feel so good

Basically, I got mentally fucked the last three days because of no success on Tinder, which lasted for about couple of weeks. I'm male, fairly attractive, 24 and at the end of med school. The only reason I installed it in the first place, as well as Badoo, is the coof pandemic which kinda fucked my dating prospects back in mid-March when quarantine started in my country. During the quarantine(about 12 weeks), I worked intensely on my self improvement, especially the physical part(first two weeks I was pissed off because gyms being closed, and was afraid of losing gains, but I started intense bodyweight training from day one, and after two or three weeks, I was the most creative I ever was in my life - I was doing deadlifts with whatever can do to maintain a perfect form around the house, including a basket full of rocks and a tool box, i was literally making new excercises that helped me, so i was kinda cut and well defined at the end of quarantine). When the measures started being lifted, i was afraid of irl dating never getting back to normal(too many clickbaity fearmongering media articles), so i installed tinder and badoo in May. Then I started to realise, even though I maintained my physical form as well as i can, I might have neglected my emotional development...
Basically, my succes on tinder was shit from the get go, with not even the least physically attractive women wanting me(IMO, de gustibus non disputandum). The pics I was using were attractive enough(confirmed by my a couple of female and male friends), out of 5 pictures only one was a well made selfie and others actually shown that I was doing fun activities. Also, I frequently ran out of matches, as not many people use it in Croatia(except in Zagreb; or seaside during summer, and i live in the east), and the matches offered were mostly from Hungary or Serbia. I installed Badoo, as I've heard of it as being more popular in the Balkans and Croatia as well, but with shit success as well. It kinda fucked me in the head from time to time, but I kept telling myself that I only installed it out of fun and experiment, so I maintained my overall self confidence, mostly. In June, I matched with a girl that lived not so near me, but near enough to meet from time to time. We first met in July, and that's when I deleted both apps I was using. She seemed perfect for me and we dated for a couple of weeks. I kinda hoped to be serious with her, but she said she doesn't want to be in a relationship rn and we broke up. I was kinda depressed after that, but i maintained and I installed tinder again, hoping I might get some chances.
I matched with only one girl I could actually meet up with(others were living too far or bots that I accidentaly swiped right on, as well as a platonic friend with whom I matched ironically), but i bailed the convo after we both realised that we are not compatible. After that i was getting no matches for weeks - I mostly didn't care, as I had better things to do, but recently it started to fuck me in the head. The creme de la creme of a shitshow was when I matched with a girl from a town I was attending college in, a fairly attractive blonde. We started talking, and next morning she was gone, probably beacuse she deleted the app herself. I was depressed that morning, having no matches afterwards(even from girls in my vicinity), even to the point of feeling ugly, worthless, talking about dying alone and spitting ironical suicidal jokes to my friends...
That's when I decided to delete it and end the torment once for all. If anyone found success on it, congratulations, but it is obviously not meant for everyone and everywhere. I decided that my worth and attractiveness cannot be determined by a lousy success on the dating app( which, btw, isn't even that popular in my country overall as it is in the US or western Europe) and that, even if I don't find a woman till the end of my life, I will be happier than if I kept tormenting myself that way. How am I going to keep dating? I don't know and I don't care, as I have more important stuff to worry about, including college graduation and finding employment in my branch, I guess I will just meet a girl accidentally, through friends, at work or wherever, but whatever happens will be better than the mental damage I was going through this morning.
Once again, I have nothing against the app per se, if it works for you, then keep going and I wish you the best. But never let the lack of success on it underestimate your abilities, attractiveness and worth, no matter the gender or orientation, despite the pandemic and social distancing, which also can't last forever, online dating will never be the only option, only the one you can influence the most if clubs, social hobbies, sports and other stuff aren't abundant at the moment. And if you do everything right( if that even exists there lol) and it still doesn't work, don't beat yourself up for the lack of success. With or without being the dating app user, keep imroving yourself and growing every day as much as you can, I will do so and we'll see what happens.

2020.09.28 21:42 Dreamedcargaming Why does everyone here hate yanderedev?

I am just saying, I don't see why everyone hates him, he has made mistakes in the past but he is mostly misunderstood.
People call him a pedophile for dating a 14-year-old girl online even though she told him she was Over 18.
People say he is a pedophile because he lets you take panty shots of "High schoolers", first off IMO Akademi high fits in an anime better then Akademi college, second off, kill la kill is an academy and Ryuko is 17, third: It is stated in-game that all characters are over 18. Yanderedev decides what characters ages are, if he says characters are over 18 then they are over 18. That's how games work.
Lets move on:
"Yanderedev told a fan to kill themselves!"
Yanderedev was under IMMENSE amounts of stress at the time, keep in mind this was 2018 when harassment was at its peak. He cracked from stress and yelled at a fan who was annoying (no offense to them) and said things he did not mean.

"Yanderedev fired a tinybuild dev cause they wanted to change the code!"
The real reason why yanderedev fired the tinybuild dev?
Because it turns out that the tinybuild devs code was for Unity 5. The game was unity 4, not only would updating the game cause massive delays, it would also make Alex have to rewrite the entire game.

"Yanderedev suicide baited drapeis!"
Seriously though? He said you are destroying/ending my life. Not that he would kill himself if drapeis continued. Yanderedev did not want drapeis to shut down his project, he just wanted drapeis to stop creating so much harassment towards him.

In short: It does not matter if he made mistakes in the past, he does not deserve the level of harassment he is getting. And tbh almost all of the bugs have been fixed, unless you literally go bug hunting you don't find any more bugs in-game. Well, that's for me at least.

2020.09.28 21:07 xeverxsleepx If you move to a white-majority area or join a white-majority hobby/fandom, stop being anti-white.

You don't get to keep spewing your anti-white bullshit.
I get it. You're oppressed. History is upsetting. You're suffering from generations of your family's enslavement or whatever (depends what kinda PoC you are). Maybe you deal with lots of racism, lack of representation in media, whatevs.
But, if you make the conscious decision to move to an area that is overwhelmingly white, cut out the constant anti-white brigade of comments. Same if you join hobbies/fandoms/etc. that are overwhelmingly white.
Sick of seeing black people move to white areas/countries and shit talk non-stop about us. Sick of going to online groups regarding geeky hobbies I like and seeing anti-white bullshit when 90% of people involved in the group are white and started said fandom. (Then the blacks retcon it and say PoC started it, specifically black queer woman, when they have zero basis or proof of that.)
Imagine if I moved to Harlem, or Lagos, or Kingston, and did nothing but spew anti-black bullshit. Or if I became a rapper or breakdancer and did that.
Or moved to Beijing and just made ch1ng-ch0ng jokes all the time. Or did the same thing while learning tai chi or feng shui.
So why is it okay for LaKeisha to move to Cork, or Bergen, or Bismarck, and just spew anti-white vitriol 24/7?? Why do people in fandoms like tabletop gaming, anthro/furry, comics, allow black and other PoC to join in and spew anti-white vitriol 24/7 and try to kick out the founding majority???
No, this isn't okay. This needs to stop.
Sucks that my race is so wussyish now and easily brainwashed sheep. Sucks that many have zero self-respect whatsoever.
Then the second I show some, I'm a Nazi somehow. Okay. Whatever.
And yes this does happen, constantly, I've known blacks IRL who did it even.
Also, stop dating white men if you're gonna do nothing but hate on white men.

2020.09.28 18:20 bigmoneysine How to run a market analysis

DISCLAIMER: If you are a new investor I highly encourage starting off in your own back-yard. If you do decide to expand out of state than its crucial that you have folks on the ground that you trust with 1,000’s of dollars.
The Initial Silo
Before you spend any serious time analyzing a market you need to understand what kind of investor you are; financially and emotionally. Are you risk averse? Limited capital? Looking for day one cash flow? Short term appreciation?
Investment strategies and metrics can vary by region. If out of state and starting from from ground zero. Begin with choosing a region (i.e. mid-west, west coast, sunbelt, east coast) based on your investing style. Then narrow your search to metros, and then neighborhoods.
Now on to research.

Important Demographics

I break demos down into three categories. (1) Demand Drivers, (2) Economic Health, and (3) Supply & Demand.
Demand Drivers. Insight into past & present growth.
Economic Health. How costly, temperamental, and diverse the economy.
Supply & Demand. Insight to how competitive a market. Rising supply over demand = lower prices.
Once you understand the supply side of the equation you can layer the demand numbers on top. Be sure to read up on local legislation and zoning to find/understand supply constraints.
Example of how supply effects rents:
Let’s say a metro has 750,000 households. 25% of the population are renters, or 187,500 renter households. 50% of the renter households live in multifamily units (93,750 units). Vacancy rate is 5%. So, there are 89,063 occupied multifamily units. AKA Demand = 89,063 rental units. (750,000*.25 =187,500 ; 187,500*.50 =93,750 ; 93,750*.05 =89,063)

Year 1 Year 2 Year 3 Year 4 Year 5
Inventory Units 93,750 93,750 93,750 93,750 93,750
Vacant Units 4,688 2,016 -736 -3,571 -6,491
Multifamily Renters 89,063 91,734 94,486 97,321 100,241
No New Supply
How many units per year would need to be built to keep up with growth?
With a population growth of 3%, developers would need to deliver 3,000 units per year to keep up with demand. Here’s what the forecasted supply would look like if 3,000 units were brought online per year.

Year 1 Year 2 Year 3 Year 4 Year 5
Inventory Units 93,750 96,750 99,750 102,750 105,750
Multifamily Renters 89,063 91,734 94,486 97,321 100,241
Vacant Units 4,688 5,016 5,264 5,429 5,509
Vacancy Rate 5.0% 5.2% 5.3% 5.3% 5.2%
3,000 New Units Annually

Applying these demographics

You now understand what kind of investor you are, what region fits that style, and what demos to keep an eye on. It’s time to apply this knowledge.
The first step is identifying the metro. Start by compiling a list of possible metros and use Neal Bawa’s rule of thumb guide to filter**.**
Metros:
  1. Population Growth
    1. Large cities (i.e. LA/NYC) = 10% growth since 2000
    2. Smaller cities (i.e. Phoenix, Orlando, Las Vegas, Columbus) = 20% growth since 2000
  2. Income
    1. 30% growth since 2000
  3. Median House/Condo Value
    1. 40% growth since 2000
  4. Crime
    1. Sub 500 on the city-data crime index
  5. Major Employers
    1. No one employer has greater than 20% market share
Time to niche down to neighborhoods.
Neighborhood:
  1. Household Income
    1. Between $36-$70K
  2. Poverty Level
    1. Sub 20%.
  3. Unemployment Rate
    1. Not 2% greater than the metro rate.
  4. Diversity
    1. No on race is 75% or more of an entire population

Path of Progress

Next – identify the path of progress. This further solidify’s what neighborhoods are of the best quality and which neighborhoods you can expect to see growth.
Use the Wendy’s Model. Wendy’s historically followed McDonalds in order to attract demand. Like Wendy's follow the national retailers. They will find and create demand. Let them do the dirty work for you.
The best tool for this is Google My Maps. You can search major retailers (i.e. Target, Whole Foods, Costco, OrangeTheory Fitness, etc.) and pin them to your map. Be sure to keep the pins to a minimum. Be selective. By adding too many tenants you will muddy the map — defeating the point.

Comps and KPI’s

You now know what neighborhoods are good or bad and where growth is headed. Time to focus your attention on the real estate -- comparable’s and key performance indicators.
Key performance indicators in real estate

Rent Surveys & Sales Comps

First, run rent surveys on each neighborhood you identified as “good”. There are a myriad of resources for this — craigslist, apartments.com, hotpads.com, etc. Build out these surveys in excel. Make sure your noting things like Class A vs. Class B and renovated vs run-down.
Next, run comps using actual sales data and rents at time of sale. This will give you an average sales price, average rent rate, gross rent multiplier, and cap rate. Make sure date of sale is within a reasonable time frame (2 years).
Use this info alongside your underwriting and you over time you will be able to clearly see good deals vs bad deals.
Done.

2020.09.28 04:44 MannyTrejo 'Which media would you consider a life-changing experience?'

Originally inspired by a Reddit thread regarding media and how it changed our lives, I invite anyone interested in sharing that which caused them reflection or provided lessons that later proved relevant to do the same. I since expanded that far beyond the limitations of Reddit comments here: https://www.facebook.com/notes/manuel-ignacio-mier-aguirre/which-media-would-you-consider-a-life-changing-experience/129415288891059/
"Lest I forget to mention my own failure from following the same route despite The Wall by Pink Floyd being one of the pieces of audiovisual media I’ve most watched throughout my lifetime. My younger brother had perhaps already built The Wall within himself, by his own failures whether born from his use of worse substances than any I’d dare ever consume during our adolescence, or facing other trials lacking my or another’s wisdom I neglected to share distracted by other substances and my own failures to retreat and regroup effectively to tackle the problem I’d faced after being denied so many other paths I’d have chosen before the one I’m on. For months he’d pestered me with radical propaganda and politically-sensitive philosophy over topics I’d already come to terms with, and I left that vector of intrusion open feeling concern for his plight and worry, yet after a former amorous connection from abroad offered we meet in Spain, he revealed my folly for trusting in him and his true intention. Immediately after she had so offered we might meet, I was faced with threats by my brother and friends of his intimidating me, attempting to coerce me into accepting Catholicism with claims of violence should I not, falsely accusing me of being guilty of sin worthy of such punishment which left me perplexed.
Confused at the true source of the attack, the disrespect against me caused me to lose my respect usually shown to just about everyone else hoping to incite reprisal from the source, and I do apologize for any offenses made as brick by brick I built The Wall. And just as I built The Wall despite consuming that media many a time, another book I was reading at the time, Gravity's Rainbow by Thomas Pynchon held the answer for the paranoia I'd came to suffer upon detecting Maoism to be the potential source yet lacking knowledge of Maoist movements beyond Chairman Mao Zedong's history in China, “If they can get you asking the wrong questions, they don't have to worry about answers.” And so, though I still disagree with some actions taken, yet have come to understand better why and decided to simply not even worry about them, only concerned the same doesn't repeat itself here against good people like myself, I do apologize for any offense to the states of China and Russia, and others closer-by but not former President Calderone, because fuck you I’m not going to die in a revolution for your rightwing Catholic oligarchy against leftist Catholic oligarchs, but I’m above the idea of bothering to waste my time dealing with you. You'll get your apology for my public denouncement of your foolish words, whether read by you or any of yours or not, when you rescind them apologetically for your desire to see violence while remaining safely away from it, or when you cross that border to be the point of the lance rifle in your own Catholic hands, where I would perhaps follow you if only out of curiosity to how this turn of events concludes, since already two American military veterans I believe better men than you have been jailed in Venezuela for one of your two desired revolutions. But if things fall to that state anyway, show us if you felt even a mote of that which did help form my soul as I lived in the United States living safely as a citizen of Texas, where I was kicked out just shy of graduating high school as I'd begun cardio training to meet USMC physical requirements eager to help fight religious extremism, deported despite having committed no crime myself, the only minor act of vandalism and offending a friend as a 13 year old dealing with emotional turmoil over new found desires leading me to egg an ex-girlfriend's house, issues I've long matured from since. Please, be our revolutionary George Washington to lead us across a Delaware that never freezes to sneak up on the paramilitary privateers. And I'd accept your apology, since 2020 and the pandemic has left many of us feeling our worlds become smaller and turned irater for it, some with too much time to think, others left to deal with the stress of keeping society running for the rest. Knowing the true enemy likely to be local organized crime, since even some IP addresses that attempted to penetrate some of my accounts purportedly from those nations may have actually been masked by a proxy. just like a virus the June of 2019 which left me having to reformat 2 hard drives and a few USB sticks had changed my browser language to Russian. Not only that, but immediately following my report online to an internationally active police agency my Twitch stream was restreamed to one with a name hostile to law enforcement I reported upon discovery, as an attempt to commit something akin to Swatting against me. Yet I'll withhold from claiming academic, private, or state collusion with organized mafiosos with cyber-crime capabilities akin to the Cali Cartel that succeeded the Medellin Cartel of Columbia, more successful for their more subtle manipulation and corruption of public or private officials compared to the previous cartel's foolishly brazen suppression turned outright war to maintain control, I learned another potential true enemy aside from organized crime I’d always defied and neglected to join despite my minor irregular moderate drug use was French Maoism of the cause the leader was claimed to represent by his peons, but not the nation of France, for French Maoists have also been involved with religious extremism and Maoist terrorism in India and have been deported from India for colluding with violent radical groups, or perhaps both of us as leftists were just turned against each other for looking upon the other through a scanner darkly, and not seeing eye to eye to converse over the same worries.
For even that same amorous connection I came to blame, to accuse with thoughts born of paranoia, to claim her in-collusion with Cambridge Analytica, the case closing up the same month she offered we meet, to claim her the Spanish, to have selected to influence a man into pacifism against soft imperialism through his favorite book, a historical fiction and science fiction novel, after noticing his household’s peculiar Amazon book orders. To claim her nation, among the highest consumers of Latin American cocaine, which she shuns as she does all drug use, yet claiming her through that exchange to be but in-collusion to England’s latest mind control plot after having Cambridge Analytica and its ploys to manipulate public perception through social media and psychological profiling facilitated by artificial intelligence shut down. A scheme reminiscent of England’s control over Chinese slave labor in the 1800’s, where the East India Company would impose opium addiction upon Chinese workers then offer to only pay them with opium and not any currency for their hard labor, but inversed, to better control the flow of cocaine even given to race dog Great Danes yet claiming the source guilty of that few among their populace buy gratuitously. To claim like when the Jews were thrust just having faced the horrors of the Holocaust into their ancestral birth lands to face enemies Great Britain had angered leaving them advisors and equipment left over from the Second World War to make of a colony they could hardly defend themselves, a potential ally should they survive, which they did yet I'll not be twisted against enemies deceived into thinking me 'the rich,' not look upon you so kindly should I survive them in a manner so valiantly to be like Israel continues to stand proudly today. Knowing my fate then would be more like Alan Turing's, a homosexual man vital to the war effort against Third Reich Germany for being a grand mathematician, to be chemically castrated after I'd stopped being useful same as she no longer invited me to share my physical desire for her and hers immediately vanished when I lost my cool and became irate, no longer a source of tranquility for her and words of praise for her that would once leave a flustered woman telling me I should write romance novels. And so, a tribe from which the man Jesus Christ of Nazareth hailed, after over two thousand years of being run from place to place to take up whatever jobs were allowed to them, even chancing upon banking out of luck the Christians of Europe didn’t like math because it was hard and allowed the poorer among them to see harsher truths when analyzing the statistics, till finally they should take up the sword to defend their ancestral home and never again be run from anywhere; A warrior empire tribe along the Southwest coast of Mexico was coaxed into shedding the obsidian by the book inspired by the man Jesus Christ, or the many he represents impaled upon the cross, perhaps of the last ones unconquered, an Atheist of mixed race, to be pacified by only a more elaborate science fiction tale and love for a woman. Till she recanted such offer we meet finally after 7 years, and only recently could we reconcile, yet despite her insistence we remain friends, I did feel best we cut the cord so I may better move on, and only did plead she remain open to perhaps making another plan for Spain should I successfully progress from the current pit I’d been led into and allowed myself to be fooled into. Still I’m glad we could speak face to face to quell my paranoid fears, and to once-more blaspheme as she’d coaxed me into joining her in a chant of ‘Fuck God,’ now relieved that perhaps my worse fear of criminal mafia-state collusion to replace me in her life and the potential political and economic plans I had entertained for our relationship was perhaps excessive, lest it be proven true by exactly that happening, by a criminal or someone preferred by a criminal for their ignorance or silence seeing the same but knowing me being innocent of complicit complacency or action with crime being a risk since I’m also prone to pointing out other’s acts of violent or abusive crime against women and vulnerable people such as children and the mentally ill like myself.
And I forgave her as she revealed to me how powerless she’d felt to make me feel better, to calm me, to divert the topic as I remained ragefully fixated with a vindictive appetite, leading to her not communicating sooner out of fear I’d simply bite a hand that would once caress me again. And she forgave me, but wisely made clear it shall not be forgotten, properly since another act to a former lover nearby also caused that shock with reality and reflection I required to ease myself out of a self-indoctrination born out of my own psychological and philosophical knowledge fused with theology, not structured to a title, but ample enough to do such. When I, knowing the threat against my potentially demanded by a French Maoist, with no relation to Chinese Maoism as I’d learned, if it was indeed a Maoist and not a criminal using the name as a mask, since even FARC was a criminal organization despite noble leftist intent twisted towards violence for financing through drug sales, responded to a younger lover’s claims and desires to accept offers from a French man she’d met before to leave for France prior to finishing her preparatory education. Where I feared like many woman with their education disrupted here often are, she would be prostituted abroad, yet I neglected the fact the same crime is committed to others here in Mexico by Mexicans, not just foreigners, still her tears and angered accusations of me a Nazi and a patan after I’d answered to her it was her Patriotic duty to remain and finish at least her preparatory education caused me to reflect upon my value of Liberty, and that I shall not become a hypocrite, by denying another their liberty. Another book, The Life and Death of Socrates, reflected upon concerning this, where Socrates was made to commit suicide for espousing the societal values of religion yet denying the fantasy such supernatural beings exist leading to accusations of perverting the youth, I found myself in another similar position as an Atheist also espousing rule of law yet wishing for some minor changes to it, in a place where power has corrupted rule of law and institutions academic, private, and public at many levels in some places, despite the current administration’s efforts to cleanse this and make of Mexico a changed place, still ongoing some chancing upon the PRI’s collusion being revealed to take their place or so I believe, likely without the upper administration noticing nor allowing this yet the executive power that is the Mexican eagle and the institutions of police and military might has too often come to be ensnared by many coiled snakes about its talons as it struggles to snap at them with a tired beak one by one.
I've since fixed the security errors that made past cyber-attacks against me possible, fearing our personal data to have been intruded, to laugh off the attempts to brute force into my Outlook account knowing the attempts require a second device to authenticate log-on, after months spent seeding misleading details as a joke and hope to call the attention of more eyes to this direction, still the grandest joke remains one played upon myself, as many were acts of disrespect I'd not have committed if I'd known with clearer mind I'd still be around months later, and not enslaved an indoctrinated drone to poorly paid farm labor for the foreseeable future. Thinking myself so clever for claiming falsely to be a Nazi and adopting ideals from another National Socialist movement that founded a sovereign nation and its ascent to increased geopolitical influence, crafting a narrative born not just of conscious negation of another side to it, but also my perceptual barriers lacking sympathy to the Catholic church particularly when threatened by Catholic Extremists, till recently I shamefully learned that the Polish Catholics whom shared the Jews plight against the Nazis were more than few I'd known of, but to be in-actuality in at least the tens of thousands to have perished alongside other political dissidents in concentration camps in a manner I'd never allow repeated here, the number of official Polish Catholic clergy slain by the Nazis, aptly the same number as the year of my birth dated anno domini after the life of Christ, 1992. Still the only Abrahamic religion I'll accept, should an offer be enticing to join them, or I face such desperation potentially with another lapse of mental illness not wishing to return to my own tailored self-indoctrination since it just made me more enraged and insane designed to take advantage of recently onset psychosis to negate the possibility of someone else indoctrinating me into Christianity, shall be Judaism. Till then, I'll remain a Taoist, and a Humanist Atheist, with some ideals adopted from the Sikh and their belief that all Gods are real if only in how they affect the minds of my potential enemies should they not turn friends, or leave me be, and my own, perhaps will remain a Taoist Atheist till I die. I’ll never again make such stupid insensitive jokes till now uncharacteristic of me since maturing beyond adolescence, now that I’ve got my better mind mostly back despite some damage leaving me with a difficulty to focus on arithmetic and programming, I was making strides of progress previously unseen towards last year before all these events spiked my mental health problems that have been usually more subtle since preadolescence. My intent was to claim myself one to incite the group that threatened me to act on their claims, then reveal that eugenicists, as that cause claimed, even attempted to persuade me towards, are indeed Nazis.
Ha-ha, look, its Dr. Sun Yat-sen but with a 16 year old companion in a state 16 is age of consent compared to one of the real man of past history, however appropriate it was at that time and place and not now, and his 13 year old wife, its Adolf Hitler but not a hypocrite since his ultra-nationalism did not become corroded by racism, to be a defense for the rights of Mexicans of every color and religion, its Cobra Commander as a playful reference to a bisexuality and sexual experience yet to be entirely completed, the former I've had to abandon, preferring women where most places that would embrace it immediately find me with many men encroaching upon my space where I'd father few if any, preferably only those ruder, meaner, more muscular, and bearded much like myself. I prefer sexual fluidity theory, so I can lie to everyone and uninviting homosexuals claiming myself heterosexual, and perhaps reveal that to the right homosexual that could fulfill either my dreams of a Francis Bacon the painter's physically abusive relationship, knowing the violence just fantasy better treated, or an older guide and tutor much like Ancient Greek apprenticeship was to some young men, the penetration of knowledge connected to physical act, to be taken as I would a woman since male bodies don't excite my member yet I'd not shy from another's desires aided by a woman's presence or chemical assistance, and always a heterosexual to all women except to lesbians who'd know otherwise. Since it'd be temporary even if come to be a life-long friendship, my marriage if it is found, if this state deserves my seed, to be with a woman whose chosen me without ulterior influence same as I've chosen her, meeting by chance as I met my first love, an English-Australian woman and other lovers since. Luckily I found a better stance than LGBTQ flaming pride I still support, for them, regarding my own sexuality with sexual fluidity theory, when I dusted off the 'Don't Ask, Don't Tell,' abandoned by the United States Military to be found by me at a Salvation Army like the many artefacts that adorned our family's first apartment and house in the United States. Ha-ha, look, its Diogenes de Sinope laughing his ass off at the many academics claiming him stupider because of their skewed perspective judging too harshly by the past to see that they want to see so they don't reflect upon their own sin, looking at irrelevant old documents, and through a scanner darkly. Snickering at the creatives claiming themselves original then proving otherwise for claiming my lack of originality where I don’t have to criticize them such, simply allowing them to put the label on their heads, while putting words in my mouth to safeguard their egos. Still, I do protect my ego excessively sometimes as well, but only because such systematic abuse makes it necessary, I’ll turn off the lantern when I’m confronted with honest men and women, and my disrespect was also because often the most honest men and women are those the rest would find armed and away from them to uphold their safety with the safety off. And laughing quietly with a small tear at how abuse has become so thorough and appropriation so in the hands of the abusers, at those who'd reveal themselves the oppressor for getting mad someone playfully take the mask of Ximen Bao, when he is more like a villager pointing out the elders and the village priestesses' abuse of women, Ximen Bao's mask though not belonging any one person, now that he is long gone but ancient Chinese history of a talented politician and hydraulics engineer to have tended to many overflowing rivers and removed institutionalized systematic abuse of women hidden by religion, perhaps more appropriately a certified software engineer or hacker, and uniformed policemen, policewomen, and uniformed military or their equivalent properly taking the place of Ximen Bao's guards and soldiers who drowned the village elders abusing women and the priestesses aiding them by selecting and coercing women for Habao the river God. Or those who'd become irate I'd take the mask of Diogenes de Sinope for doing the same when japing at other philosophers with more credential, where that mask belongs to those without academic title, even those with a criminal past like the real man's past as an exile for vandalizing, shaving off silver bits from Greek currency to accumulate and resell, but there is the mask of a particular Hebrew himself I'll never claim myself to be like, nor bigger than, not dare to take the mask of since that man born to woman of a man's seed showed a humble man could conquer an empire.
'And the UN, UNnazi-ed the world forever,' I could write an essay picking apart Idiocracy but it was not life changing, perhaps more the film inspired by events in Timothy Cavendish's life enjoyed by a clone broken free from her religious indoctrination before her confession and demise never knowing the connection to Timothy Cavendish, yet this slave freed from religious indoctrination, despite many attempts to kick my family further down the socioeconomic ladder back to where my parents began for their sons not accepting the commonly held ideals and their daughter being troublesome however smart they all are, did enjoy many more pleasures than poor Somni-451 did in that future cyberpunk North Korea. Forever grateful an emotional and intellectual connection, though it did not come to be physical as she'd once wished when inviting me to Spain, chanced into my life sharing my own favorite book as her bible once. Maybe I'll no longer dreamily think you Meronym, but you can still be Leonina Crowne, Mrs. Brown, Polina, and Donna, Audrey, or whatever other name she'd take under cover if you ever choose to care about what happens around you beyond sight, yet I do not blame you, a mother and woman with a career is no longer a wide-eyed blue eyed rebel I'd met and talked to till she'd sleep many a night turned morning. But no, John Does Not Die At The End, at least not by his own hand, I'd rather peeve someone off so hard they do it for me if what I speak is bothersome to someone who wouldn't more wisely incentivize me and befriend me to perhaps not do so and continue distracting myself as I did so contently before our connection was slashed.
And as I stared into the void of recent human history to see that which scared her away briefly to leave me feeling as if the globalist liberalism we'd shared had abandoned me to face religious extremism alone, the void stared back at me as my mouth watered before the roast upon the flames and delusions of a conquered Central America, much like Shadowrun’s post-Mexican state Aztlan, a result of a Mexican conquest of everything South down to a border shared uneasily with Amazonia at Bogota, Columbia. To turn of Central America that I was threatened with; poorly paid agricultural slave labor so Mexico may more freely pursue my own dream, an increasingly technocratic Nationalist Democratic state, which had previously been a softer more liberal and peaceful thought in the back of my mind as I struggled to embark on my own path to at least becoming stable and financially independent. And I took step by step the same path as The Wall’s protagonist, perhaps born of a psychotic break Roger Waters himself may have suffered, despite having watched him play it twice in Mexico City, the second time around with a bassist Second Gulf War veteran wheelchair-bound after the loss of his legs playing with him on-stage at the Zocalo.
Though I'd not accuse everyone, nor even everyone complicit knowing deception to be so possible in an informatic age where recently we learned deepfakes possible to super-impose the image of another over the original in a video, due to a scandal where celebrity women were edited into pornographic videos, showing us this is possible for any other motive, but that's why it's called the fucking mob kids, some places are clean, but where it penetrates it can come to ensnare and even become everyone unknowingly promoting and acting out the agenda of the few in charge of public perception and belief. Still, I'd always shunned away from power, fame, and riches, wouldn't reject them to do good, but never was interested, preferring to enjoy what I enjoy in-private, preferring to keep my ploys to influence more subtle and aimed at hopefully positive outcomes, until lately when I so erratically just plain stopped giving a fuck since after I'd chosen a brief dream among the many other dreams I held as an indecisive child for my future the schemes of power and corruption I'd hoped to avoid doing so still intruded upon my life, and I came to entertain the idea of my future to be a gray-haired Nationalist man someday vying for political power to cleanse a state of corruption, thinking how to come-up with my own catchy way to say 'La mafia del poder.' Wondering if jails still keep libraries somewhere, if you can still get your law degree to begin a potential political career while in prison, since some of my more brazen attempts at calling attention did have that as a preferable outcome over being tortured till I accept a false confession and Catholicism before being made to work a farm as a slave. Disappointed and feeling betrayed over having been treated such by another Leftism movement, supposedly a French Maoist among Mexican Maoists, myself a male Feminist, Democratic Socialist, and Market Socialist with some right-leaning Nationalism also keeping that Market Socialism aligned in some interests concerning not going too far with Libertarianism since doing so pushes everyone attempting some regulation towards wishing for violent revolution I still shun, ultimately being of the Center Left politically, and a man who would have enjoyed and loved to do agricultural work however grueling during his semester off even at low pay provided he wasn't forced into it and could leave come the end of the season. Even if it is a little more grueling compared to the last employment I applied for, which resulted in 12+ hour days including transit and combined with attending class for 6 months, so I could save up to buy an ex-girlfriend a huge and beautiful puzzle with some oriental inspiration like other art she enjoyed, myself a used laptop for classwork, and to buy tickets for us both to see Nine Inch Nails at a music festival I usually ignore because it's usually more pop and popular music compared to that year's set, a band both of us uphold as one of our favorites, since I'd love to learn agricultural work even as a skillset for a future hobby and I'd regretted not choosing horticulture as an elective at my university.
Who knows, maybe the cause behind the attack was really my insane Old Testament Catholic extremist of a younger brother turning me in to activists bordering on militants hoping they'd remove me from making him envious and having to hear an ass or two spanked and a woman's cry or two through our shared wall then thinking I don't deserve to do the same to a woman in a Spanish hotel room because I lack his philosophy degree or something. Man, we both really got to get out of our parent's house. I mention this because it seems to be a thing with him, a woman I dated but came to wish I'd treated more as a friend he'd made it a thing to descriptively tell me of how satisfying he'd left her when he'd fucked her as if I'd care and didn't know those screams and shudders myself, at a party with others present none-the-less, impressing upon me in a way it was clear he wanted me to feel envious as I laughed it off and said the equivalent of 'congrats, I guess?' Again he'd ask out a woman I'd more recently dated and was more seriously involved with after we broke up, to which she rejected and revealed to me how creepy it was when we got back together before ultimately breaking up again, once he tried to force himself into my room as she lay boldly naked atop my bed, insisting why don't we play some board games when clearly we were both set to fuck. I just don't know what the fuck is up with him but I've since forgiven him but never forgotten the lesson to not trust the younger brother who grabs the teapot to go and set it in the small courtyard of a backyard beneath the sole palm tree at night time ever again. Whatever, I guess he was sick of being Doctor Venture sleeping in the lower bunk bed beneath Brock's bunk as revealed in a flashback scene of their shared university years. Whatever, I guess he was sick of being Doctor Venture sleeping in the lower bunk bed beneath Brock's bunk. Go fuck off with your extremist friends, I'm not letting myself get that maddened over what turned out to be overblown again, but if I do I'm the fucking Monarch from Venture Bros replete with Monarch themed super villain costume to go tree hugging awaiting confrontation on some field set to be cleared, since clearly you can't trust people enough to fight for them even among Leftists, so I may as well go fight for trees that also serve as Monarch butterfly homes in the Winter. All that would be missing is a gravelly voiced woman or maybe a transgender woman to play Doctor Girlfriend, and a couple fellow weirdos to be Henchman 21 and the other guy to give the armed responders to our opposition to another field being cleared the strangest surprise. Maybe it was just that, and it took the collusion with a militant activist group to get me to feel inadequacy issues I'd gotten over in high school peacefully sharing halls with many women who'd rejected me over other dudes like any other weirdo, to get my brother to feel a little better about his ego despite writing such trash philosophy if what he's shown me is any indication of the rest, since apparently a guy can't enjoy things previously kept private without having it shown it was not so private after all. Still, I understand a woman's incapacity to comprehend and fear of me since I did say some weird shit fallen into psychosis, and forgive her however it made me feel abandoned in a time of duress, but perhaps it might be a chance to commit a Sophist act to teach a lesson to would-be faux-Sophists just wishing to see a man suffer for nothing more than their sadism."

2020.09.27 00:50 Thomas_Pizza A detailed look at Dilla's samples of classical music, including Bach, Mozart, Tchaikovsky, etc. with tons of links to the samples, to the beats he made with those samples, and also links to traditional performances of the classical pieces he sampled.

They're listed in order from the oldest classical composition to newest. Most of the links throughout are youtube links, but a few I couldn't find on youtube so I uploaded them to soundcloud and linked to that. Oh, and "Smokey in the Pigeon Coop" wasn't on youtube, and soundcloud rejected my upload of it for copywrite reasons, but I found another copy of it streaming online and linked that.
.
Composition, and Traditional Recording Composer, Year Sampled Recording, Year Dilla's usage
"Il est bel et bon" 1 P. Passereau, 1530s The Swingle Singers, 1974 "Expensive Whip" on Jay Stay Paid; also on the 2002 Batch disc 5
"Toccata and Fugue in D minor" 2 J.S. Bach, early 1700s (exact date unknown and disputed) Mike Hankinson, 1972 3 different beats from the same sample: A - "Smokey in the Pigeon Coop"; B - "Move" by Oh No ft. Roc C and J Dilla; C - "Let's Grow" by Royce Da 5'9"
"Symphony No. 40 in G minor" 3 W.A. Mozart, 1788 Daniel Vangarde, 1973 "And I Wanna Escape", 2005 Batch disc 1
"Night on Bald Mountain" 4 M. Mussorgsky, 1867 Isao Tomita, 1975, sample comes at 4:23 into the Tomita recording "I Must Love You", on the 2002 Batch, also rapped over by Guilty Simpson
"Bydlo", from "Pictures at an Exhibition" 5 M. Mussorgsky, 1874 Isao Tomita, 1975 "Darkness", on the 2002 Batch
Various different parts from the opera "Carmen"; Track 06 on Da 1st Installment samples an electronic arrangement of "Habanera" 6 G. Bizet, 1875 Hans Wurman - "Comic Carmen", 1976, Side 1 A sample comes at 0:39; B sample comes at 6:05; C sample comes at 11:18, all on Side 1...D - "Habanera," sample comes at 9:40 on Side 2 A - 2005 Batch Disc 4 Track 13, also Dillatronic 30, B, C, and D - Da 1st Installment Track 04 (B), Track 05 (C), and Track 06 (D)
"Prelude in C-sharp minor" 7 S. Rachmaninoff, 1892 Michael Quatro, 1972 "The Shining" by Lawless Element
"Dance of the Sugar-Plum Fairy" from "The Nutcracker" ballet 8 P.I. Tchaikovsky, 1892 Wendy Carlos, 1975...sample comes at 1:10 into the track "Jay Dee's Revenge" by Danny Brown
"Flight of the Bumblebee" 9 N. Rimsky-Korsakov, 1899 Temple City Kazoo Orchestra - "Kazooed On Classics", 1982 "Geek Down" ft. Busta Rhymes
"Clair de lune" 10 C. Debussy, 1905 Isao Tomita, 1974 "Climax (Girl Shit)" by Slum Village
"Les entretiens de la Belle et de la Bete" 11 M. Ravel, 1910 Isao Tomita, 1979 - Sampled bit comes at 0:40 "Smoke" ft. Blu
"Daphnis et Chloe Suite No. 2" 12 M. Ravel, 1912 Isao Tomita, 1979 - Sampled bit starts at 5:05 -- it's not the bassline that Dilla's beat starts out with, it's the high-pitched...one-two-three-four-five melody that first plays at 0:05 into Dilla's beat "Brand New Shit With The Blend" off the 2005 Batch disc 1
"Sports et divertissements 14. Les quatre-coins" 13 E. Satie, 1914 Camarata Contemporary Chamber Group 1972 - skip to 32:05 if the timestamp doesn't work Da 1st Installment, Track 29
"Heures seculaires et instantanees: III. Affolements granitiques" 14 E. Satie, 1914 Camarata Contemporary Chamber Group, 1970 "Don't Nobody Care About Us" by Phat Kat
"Trois Nocturnes: No. 2 in D-major, Le Deuxieme" 15 E. Satie, 1919 Camarata Contemporary Chamber Group, 1970 - the part he sampled is at 0:56 "Pledge The Beat" on 2005 Batch Disc 1, also "Dillatronic 04"
"Rhapsody in Blue" 16 G. Gershwin, 1924 Leonid Hambro and Gershon Kingsley, 1970 - sampled bit comes at 11:02 "Hambro"
.
.
1 So, in the traditional performance, the guy 2nd from the left with the crazy eyes deserves a shoutout. I mean he's a good singer, the whole group is good, but his facial expressions are incredible. If you only watch one of these videos, make it that one. It's less than 2 minutes long and that guy is...I dunno, words fail me.
2 One of the most well-known pieces of classical music ever written, it was originally written for organ (as heard in the traditional performance linked above), since pianos at the time were a fairly new and rare invention. The 3 Dilla samples aren't just different rappers on the same beat...Dilla made 3 entirely different beats with that sample.
3 Another extremely famous composition, Daniel Vangarde played around with it rather than doing a straight cover, but you can hear the first minute or 2 of the Mozart piece clearly in his recording. Fun Fact: Daniel Vangarde is the father of Thomas Bangalter, and Thomas Bangalter is one-half of Daft Punk. Also, the album artist for this album listed on Discogs as 'Unknown Artist,' and the album is called 'Moog Party Time'. But on the actual record itself, Vangarde is listed as the arranger of this song and I've often seen him listed as the artist, not for the whole album but just this song.
4 Modest Mussorgsky is a Russian composer, not nearly as famous as Bach or Mozart obviously, but still very famous worldwide, and even if you haven't heard of Mussorgsky or heard of this piece, there's a very good chance you'll recognize parts of it, particularly the very very beginning. It's sometimes translated as "Night on Bare Mountain," as in Tomita's recording of it.
5 "Pictures at an Exhibition" is also a very famous and well-respected piece by Mussorgsky. It's a 'suite' of 10 short pieces (of which "Bydlo" -- Polish for cattle -- is one), originally written for solo piano but performed and recorded by all sorts of different orchestras and combinations of instruments.
6 A traditional performance of Bizet's opera "Carmen" is like 2 hours long, so I only linked a traditional version of the song "Habanera," and I'm not very familiar with the opera but that's gotta be its most famous song. The linked video is only about half of the song ("Habanera"), but the second half of it is just more verses with the same melodies and chorus and everything. It was the only clip I could find showing an opera-performance of the song, not just the audio. Also there is some serious cleavage going on in that clip. Of the 4 different times Dilla sampled 'Comic Carmen' (linked above), that's my favorite flip, and it's up there as one of my all-time favorites. For some dumb reason somebody uploaded the Hans Wurman album "Comic Carmen" to youtube and called it "Full Album," but the youtube upload is actually Side 1 followed by Side 1 again, so I uploaded Side 1 and Side 2 to Soundcloud.
7 Really outstanding traditional piano performance of this by somebody I've never heard of, called simply "Rousseau." He or she kills it, and the visuals are nice too. Fun Fact: Rachmaninoff was just 19 years old when he wrote this piece in 1892. The sampled bit in the Lawless Element beat comes right at the beginning of the Michael Quatro track.
8 The sample is maybe the least hip-hop shit ever. "Dance of the Sugar-Plum Fairy" from Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker ballet -- can you literally think of anything less rugged? The recording he sampled was performed on Moog by Wendy Carlos, who was born Walter Carlos. She had to deal with learning about and accepting her gender dysphoria in the 1960s, long before that was a common or "accepted" thing, and she had sex-reassignment surgery in 1972 -- also very early as far as that procedure. That's beside the point though...Dilla sampling "Dance of the Sugar-Plum Fairy" and turning it into a beat that's as nasty as Danny Brown is the ridiculous part. "Teeth fucked up like a hockey player, Stayed up out the hood like a bad carburetor..."
9 One of his more famous ridiculous sample usages. "Flight of the Bumblebee" a Russian orchestral piece from the end of the 19th century...played on kazoos. What. The. Fuck. Busta Rhymes: 'A-yo. A-yo. This shit is a fuckin emergency, evacuate the fuckin premesis bitch, there's a fuckin fire goin on in here!' (cue kazoos) And it's not like he just used the kazoos a little bit -- they make up the entire song ("Geek Down").
10 Perfect.
11 Also on the 2005 Batch disc 1.
12 Also rapped over by Phat Kat as "Nasty Ain't It."
13 'Sports et divertissements' translates to 'Sports and entertainment,' and 'Les quatre-coins' translates to 'The four corners'
14 Erik Satie lived from 1866-1925 and was a pianist as well as a composer, and that's him in the picture in all 3 youtube videos of the traditional performances (13, 14, and 15 here), but I don't think it's a recording of him performing the pieces, because the sound quality is wayyyy too good for pre-1925.
15 Sampled bit comes at 0:55 into the Camarata Contemporary Chamber Group track. Note that whoever uploaded the youtube video badly misspelled 'Le Deuxieme' (which translates simply to, 'The Second').
16 Absolutely ridiculous flip. On the 'traditional performance' linked above, that's Leonard Bernstein not only conducting, but also playing the piano.

Suarez is that student in class who can solve every calculus and trigonometry questions within a minute but can't tell multiplication table of 7.

A good game against a good team away from home? Is this real life?
Author: praveerk Score: 211 pts Source
It stings knowing that we'll probably lose the title to a mediocre Madrid side, but if we keep playing like this, I honestly won't care much. Watching us today kept me excited and entertained for 90 minutes. Can't ask for more from your team than that.

Griezmann was awesome, so much energy, linked up well with everyone and to top it off a stunning chip.
Messi was awesome as a provider, unlucky about the goal being chalked off but he creates so many problems for the opposition. If not scoring he’s assisting.
Very good games from Lenglet, Roberto, Suarez (needs to pass to Griez more though).
Awesome that Setien uses the subs but not sure how Vidal didn’t get hooked. Fati again just building up the excitement we all have for him. He’s completely fearless and seems to have no fear shooting.

12 Shots on Target. That sums up the offensive masterclass of Barca.
Amazing display tonight, absolutely world class performance by every player on the pitch.
Kudos to Setien for trying this formation and it worked very well. Quick subs as well and complete use of all subs! Hope this was done early.
Nevermind, let's end the season with more of these performances!!

Griezmann is a top 3/5 player, remember.
He may not be shiny, he may not dribble like Messi but he does it in his own way. One touch passes, link up plays, work rat, defending and score beauties, he does EVERYTHING flawlessly.
The problem has never been him, tweak the system a little bit for him and look where we are. The team is playing on another level. Pass more to Griezmann, if the team wants to win.
12/10 game from Griezmann imo. Now Imma fap over that goal for few more times.

What a great game and important win. When we envisioned a Quique Setien Barcelona we envisioned this, not what've seen these past weeks. This was the toughest game left in the schedule, we still have a chance for the title. Hopefully it's not too late, but even if it is we still have CL left and if we play this way we can have a foot in the ring for that.
Just one game, and we'll have to see this on a more consistent basis to be fully convinced, but again, so promising. There was talk that Setien and dressing room had reached common ground, and maybe that is what inspired this performance. We can only hope, don't wanna see another coach get lost in the sauce.
Griezmann and Roberto top performers, superb performances off the bench from Puig and Fati, and the legit only complaint I have involves Vidal starting, not being subbed at out at half time, and not being subbed out in the second half.
Author: PErland Score: 27 pts Source
Roberto back from injury. Best Barca game in a very long time... Coincidence? I think not! He played some of the best we've seen from our midfield in a long time imo. And interestingly from the left side. As soon as he switched to the right he basically provided two assists although it didn't end with goals to no fault of his.
Griezmann was unplayable. Would love to see more games like this from him. He would probably have had two goals if only Suarez had looked up.
I've missed this version of Barca.
Author: Dawsoneifert Score: 27 pts Source
This is the Griezmann that we saw for France and with Atleti. When he’s given the freedom, he can quietly pull the strings in offense. He isn’t a winger, and he never was. He makes the offense tick, similar to how Firmino plays for Liverpool.
I hope Messi realizes this because it will only alleviate some of the creative responsibilities he has been burdened with in recent seasons, allowing him to purely focus on providing the magic in his final years at the club.

Quotes:

Koeman: "Ter Stegen is recovering, I still don't know how long he will be out for, maybe a couple more weeks. I'm very happy with Neto, and the youngsters, who are also showing that they will become great goalkeepers." - src @barcacentre
Koeman: "We're looking for players to improve the team. But we must also understand the financial situation of the club. Regardless of possible signings, we will try to achieve everything." - src @barcacentre
Koeman: "Coutinho? First you have to put each player in his best position, he can play as '10', or on the left wing with freedom. He also likes to defend and help the team, but I'm interested in him showing his quality close to the goal. Hopefully he will triumph this season." - src @barcacentre
Koeman: "It's normal that we have to improve things in defence, we are going to change the system, we are going to press higher, it's quite a radical change and that costs. We need time." - src @barcacentre
Koeman: "We have very good forwards, but no one can play three games in a row. We have quality to let them all play." - src @barcacentre
Koeman: "Fati? For me, yes, he's essential. He's a great talent. He's young and has to learn, he's a player for the future but it's impressive that at his age he already has the level to play in the first team of Barcelona. It says a lot." - src @barcacentre
Koeman: "Riqui Puig to play with Barça B when necessary? It's not only with Riqui Puig. I understand that young players have to play games. If Riqui or Aleñá decide to stay, it's their decision and they will have opportunities to show me that I can count on them." - src @barcacentre
Koeman: "Riqui Puig registered to Barça B? These are also decisions of the club, there are players who will have a first-team number and others who don't, it's not true that I don't count on Riqui because tomorrow he's in the squad." - src @barcacentre
Koeman: "Suárez? It seemed like I have been the bad guy in this movie and it's not like that. It was the decision of the club. I respect Suárez a lot and wish him all the best at Atlético Madrid." - src @barcacentre
Koeman: "Lautaro or Depay? Nothing is ruled out, but as I said, I focus on the players who are here. Barça always have to be prepared to strengthen themselves." - src @barcacentre
Koeman: "Messi's anger? It's normal for him to be upset about the fact a great friend has left, but I have no doubts about Messi. I have seen him train." - src @barcacentre
Koeman: "I like to focus on the players we have, there are two more weeks left and there may be incoming as well as outgoing players, but I like to focus on the players we have and Villarreal. We'll see." - src @barcacentre
Koeman: "Villarreal having an advantage since they have already played two games? It could be, yes. But the team is ready to come out strong tomorrow." - src @barcacentre

2020.09.26 08:30 eire1979au My request for BAE's ASIO file to be digitised is complete. Here it is.

The file is held at the National Archives and is available to the public. I paid to have it digitised and now you can look it up online. I had been worried it was just going to be ASIO's information on his involvement with the Committee for Democracy in Australia and about his Communist leanings. But, thankfully there is a bit more than that. Below I have set out what each of the documents in the file includes. It's 86 pages long, so it might take you a while to get through it. I have highlighted in bold below what I consider to be the most important parts of the file.
The image begins at the end of the file which is probably better for our purposes as it dates from 1965 to 1975, and he was only arrested for the crimes in 1974.
The file is now public and can be found here.
Enjoy!
Contents of file inlcude the following:
  1. A personal particulars document including BAE's DOB, job and address; his wife's maiden name, DOB and place of birth.
  2. Document detailling extracts from the of the Senate Select Committee on Civil Rights of Migrant Australians. Elkner is mentioned in his role as a supporter of Marjan Jurjevic (the guy who the Ustashi bombed in Melbourne because he identified as a Yugoslav).
  3. ASIO intelligence report leaked by an agent who had infiltrated the Communist Party of Australia detailing the names and addresses of subscribers to the CPA newspaper "Tribune", one of whom was Dr. BAE.
  4. Newspaper article from The Age dated 19/10/1974, titled "Lecturer had sex fantasies, gaoled". I don't think any of us has seen this before (possibly not on Newspapers.com). Fascinating article, gives more details about BAE's sentencing "non-parole period of five years". Gives more details about rapes: "tied up six girls and assaulted five and raped one...common features of the assaults included entering the victims homes by trickery, tieing their ankles and hands, threatening them with a knife, threatening to kill them, and in three cases, cutting their clothing with scissors". Psychiatrist Dr. L. M. Marinovich said "Elkner was now getting medication to control his problem". Elkner's lawyer, Mr. John Phillips, said "the rape victim was an 18 year old Arts student at Melbourne University, who Elkner knew".
  5. ASIO hand-written memo detailing BAE's links with a woman he had invited to join the Committee for Democracy in Australia.
  6. Newspaper article from The Herald dated 18/10/1974, titled "UNI MAN HAD SEX FANTASY - COURT TOLD". (Note, some of the article is faded and difficult to make out). I don't think any of us has seen this before (possibly not on Newspapers.com). I think it says "a pair of scissors involved in rape". The attacks occurred "at different homes in Brighton, one at Elsternwick, one at Murumbeena and one at Carnegie". Lawyer Phillips said "Elkner was married with three children aged from three to eight years". "The rape victim - a girl student in the same faculty at Melbourne University - had suffered bruising to the head and scratches." Mr Phillips also said: "There were people struck in some of the other cases and it may well be that some injury was inflicted". Then there is an interview with the Deputy Dean of Arts at Melbourne University, Mr Ronald Francis Jackson, who states that he had known BAE since he was undergraduate in 1959, and mentions how well-respected BAE is. The government psychiatrist Dr Allan Austin Bartholomew says: "I think this man has a gross psychiatric disturbance. It may well be that we will not have much success with this prisoner".
  7. An ASIO operative's report and letter regarding his acquisition of an amateur transcription of a Four Corners episode regarding Croatian fascist terrorist activities in Victoria. Dr. BAE is interviewed in the episode which aired on the ABC on 10/6/1972 (it might be worth tracking down).
  8. Newspaper article from Farrago dated 6/4/1973, titled "ELKNER ON THE 'AUSTASHA'". Includes a black and white photo of a contemporary BAE! About a lecture BAE gave on Croatian terrorism in Australia.
  9. A transcript of a speech Elkner gave at the Unitarian church about the problem of Croatian fascism in Australia. Includes the claim that there are about 20 Ustashi war criminals living in Melbourne's suburbs. Introduces to the stage Marjan Jurjevic a man who who fought fascism in Yugoslavia during the war and whose flat on the 20th floor of the Carlton Commission housing flats had been bombed.
  10. An intelligence report about a meeting of the Communist Club at the University of Queensland. I am not sure why this document is in BAE'S file as I can't find his name in it.
  11. A document detailing the ASIO wiretapping of a friend of BAE's and two solicitors detailing BAE's concerns about the training of Croatian fascist paramilitaries in Geelong.
  12. Typewritten memo noting BAE's address at Hampton.

  14. ASIO intelligence document detailing Committee for Democracy in Australia meeting with BAE, Jurjevic and future Deputy Prime Minister Dr. Jim Cairns. Meeting held 8/6/72.
  15. Wiretapping (can't see BAE's name).
  16. Wiretapping of telephone call between BAE and David Davies (communist journalist for Tribune) in which they discuss activities of Croatian fascist paramilitary activity in Victoria.
  17. A document marked HQT 70/1187. Mentions one Danyelo Dando arranged to have BAE's article "Croatian Fascism in Australia" published in the Worker Student Alliance newspaper Struggle.
  18. Intelligence report regarding the inaugral meeting of the Committee for Democracy in Australia held in March 1972. Interesting detail: Marjan Jurjevic's daughter Angela, a languages graduate from La Trobe University fluent in French, invited Elkner to the group to act as president and he agreed.
  19. Document detailing contributions to the Worker's Student Alliance newspaper Struggle, includes BAE's article "Croatian Fascism in Australia".
  20. Phone intercept of call between David Davies and Marjan Jurjevic. Details death threats sent by letter to Jurjevic. Letters written in Serbo-Croat. Threats were to the lives of Jurjevic, his daughter, BAE and Jim Cairns.
  21. Telephone intercept between David Davies and Marjan Jurjevic in which Jurjevic threatened to blow up St. Patrick's Cathedral if anything happened to his daughter.
  22. Telephone intercept between David Davies and Marjan Jurjevic regarding and interview between Angela Jurevic and reporter Bruce Webster. BAE briefly mentioned.

  26. Telephone intercept between David Davies and BAE. Day after bombing of Jurjevic's flat in Carlton. BAE remarks that he was "always looking over his shoulder these days".
  27. Telephone intercept between David Davies and Phillip Mark Taft. Davies describes how bomb had been left in a blue bag on the landing outside Jurjevic's flat. No mention of BAE.
  28. Telephone intercept of call between David Davies and John Sendy about the bombing. No mention of BAE.
  29. News transcript of bombing of the migrant's advisory section of the ANZ bank (there were two bomb blasts on the same day, one here in the city and one in Jurjevic's flat in Carlton). Dr. BAE is paraphrased making claims that certain members of the Liberal Party were cosying up to the Crotian Nazis and turning a blind eye to their activities simply because they had a common interest in anti-Communism.
  30. Telephone intercept of call between David Davies and BAE. BAE informs Davies he is just finishing his article for the Australian Left Review.
  31. NSW police memo from 3/3/72 about report from branch of Foundation of Aboriginal Affairs. Branch forwarded sent letter to government calling on them to remove the current officebearers of the government run Foundation for Aboriginal Affairs and recommended certain other individuals be elected instead. BAE is signatory to letter. ASIO report includes comments that it is concerned about Black Power element within this group.

  45. Police Special Branch report about the application of one Thomas Joseph Yates for exemption, as a conscientious objector, to being conscripted. Yates' application was first rejected by adjudicating magistrate, but same said that he could perform non-combat duties. Yates appealed and BAE is listed as being present at hearing in support of Yates. BAE is reported as being an atheist and so gave evidence on affirmation rather than under oath.
  46. ASIO report of a letter written by the La Trobe Valley Vietnam Committee detailing the holding of a fete in order to raise money for Yates' election campaign expenses. Meeting was held at BAE's house in Yallourn on 11/12/1966.

2020.09.26 07:53 youngbull316 My Presidential Theory in the form of the Early, Core, & Late system

Starting with the Silent Generation (I could possibly go further back in the near future):
This is part I, with Range #1, because this is going to be too long to do both ranges.
Range #1 (based on time of birth)
Silent Generation = b. 1929-1944 (specifically, March 4, 1929 - April 12, 1945, a.k.a. Classes of 1947-1963)

Early Silents = b. 1929-1932 (specifically, March 4, 1929 - March 4, 1933, a.k.a. Classes of 1947-1951)
Have some remaining GI traits, were all born during the Herbert Hoover administration, and were for the most part, born in the early 30's, during the Great Depression. They were some of the main "Great Depression" kids of the 1930's, along with the younger GI's. Were largely big children and/or adolesecents (though the term probably didn't exist back then) during World War II and were the first full group to not be old enough to fight in it. They would of come of age in the late 1940's and were old enough to fight in the Korean War. They are largely the children of the Lost and Greatest Generation, and the parents of the Truman, Eisenhower, and JFK-born Boomers, as well as the LBJ-born Xers, give or take.

Core Silents = b. 1933-1940 (specifically, March 4, 1933 - January 20, 1941, a.k.a. Classes of 1951-1959)
I will break this up to two groups: Core Silents I & Core Silents II

Core Silents I = b. 1933-1936 (specifically, March 4, 1933 - January 20, 1937, a.k.a. Classes of 1951-1955)
They are the core representatives of the Silent Generation with no sort of overlap from the GI Generation whatsoever. They were born in the mid 30's during the first term of Franklin D. Roosevelt. They spent their childhood mainly in the early 1940's during the peak of World War II, so they are the main "World War II kids", came of age in the early 1950's during the Korean War and possibly could have fought in the war (probably the youngest though). They are largely the children of the Lost and Greatest Generation, and the parents of the Eisenhower and JFK-born Boomers, as well as the LBJ and Nixon-born Xers, give or take.

Core Silents II = b. 1937-1940 (specifically, January 20, 1937 - January 20, 1941, a.k.a. Classes of 1955-1959)
The first cohort to be born at the start of the new date for the presidential inauguration: January 20, instead of March 4. They were born in the late 30's during the second term of Franklin D. Roosevelt. This group numerically fits in the core but possibly has the earliest Baby Boomer traits. They were mainly kids at the end of World War II, and the start of the prosperity of the baby boom in the late 1940's, lasting throughout the 1950's. They were probably the main young adults of the civil rights movements (though the whole group was diverse in age) and the leaders of the hippie movement that largely influenced the Truman-born Boomers. They are largely the children of the Greatest Generation, and the parents of the JFK-born Boomers, LBJ and Nixon-born Xers, give or take.

Late Silents = b. 1941-1944 (specifically, January 20, 1941 - April 12, 1945, a.k.a. Classes of 1959-1963)
They were born in the early 40's during the third & fourth term of Franklin D. Roosevelt until his unfortunate passing before Harry S. Truman succeeded him. This group has strong Baby Boomer traits/influence. All or almost all of the Beatles are in this cohort. They spent their main childhood in the late 1940's and early 1950's, and came of age during the civil rights movement of the early 1960's and the Cuban Missile Crisis. They were the main "60's generation" that is widely known to describe the 40's born Baby Boomers. They are largely the children of the Greatest Generation, and the parents of the LBJ and Nixon/Ford-born Xers, give or take.

Baby Boomers = b. 1945-1963 (specifically, April 12, 1945 - November 22, 1963, a.k.a. Classes of 1963-1982)

Early Boomers = b. 1945-1948 (specifically, April 12, 1945 - January 20, 1949, a.k.a. Classes of 1963-1967)
They were born in the mid-late 40's during the first term of Harry S. Truman, after Franklin D. Roosevelt passed away. This group has some strong Silent influence. They were the main "50's kids" and came of age at the time of JFK's and Malcolm X's assassination, the Civil Rights Movement, etc. They were a part of the soldiers of the Vietnam War, as they became of age to fight and got drafted to go to war. Three of US presidents came from this cohort and were all born the same year: 1946. They are largely the children of the Greatest Generation, and the parents of the Nixon/Ford and Carter-born Xers, as well as the Reagan-born Millennials, give or take.

Core Boomers = b. 1949-1961 (specifically, January 20, 1949 - January 20, 1961, a.k.a. Classes of 1967-1979)
This will break up in three groups: Core Boomers I, Core Boomers II, & Core Boomers III.

Core Boomers I = b. 1949-1952 (specifically, January 20, 1949 - January 20, 1953, a.k.a. Classes of 1967-1971)
They were born in the early 50's during the second term of Harry S. Truman. They spent the majority of their childhoods in the 1950's, so they are also the stereotypical "50's kid, 60's teen/young adult" Boomers. This group has little to no remaining influence from the Silent Generation. They also had to fight in the Vietnam War, just like their 40's born counterparts. They came of age during the Summer of Love '67, Martin Luther King Jr. and Robert F. Kennedy's assassinations, the tumultuous year of 1968, the moon landing, Woodstock '69, Kent State '70, etc. They are largely the children of the Greatest Generation, as well as the Hoover-born Silents, and the parents of the Ford and Carter-born Xers, as well as the Reagan-born Millennials, give or take.

Core Boomers II = b. 1953-1956 (specifically, January 20, 1953 - January 20, 1957, a.k.a. Classes of 1971-1975)
They were born in the mid 50's during the first term of Dwight D. Eisenhower. This group is the absolute core of the Baby Boomers, with completely no Silent Generation or Generation X traits. They spent the majority of their childhood early 60's and teenage years in the early 70's. They came of age when the US election allowed 18-20 year-olds to vote from the 21+ voting law and during Watergate, followed by then President Richard Nixon's resignation. This group was the very youngest that were able to fight in the Vietnam before its official end in 1975. They are largely the children of the Greatest Generation, as well as the Hoover and FDR-born Silents, and the parents of the Carter-born Xers, as well as the Reagan and Bush Sr.-born Millennials, give or take.

Core Boomers III = b. 1957-1960 (specifically, January 20, 1957 - January 20, 1961, a.k.a. Classes of 1975-1979)
They were born in the late 50's during the second term of Dwight D. Eisenhower. This group possibly are the first that have any X traits. They are the last to have memory of the JFK assassination. They were the main "60's kid, disco, and 80's 'yuppies'" generation. They came of age during the birth of Apple and the Star Wars series, release of Atari (which was the beginning of the home video game evolution), the Jonestown massacre, etc. They are largely the children of the Greatest Generation, as well as the Hoover and FDR-born Silents, and the parents of the Reagan, Bush Sr., and Clinton-born Millennials, give or take.

Late Boomers = b. 1961-1963 (specifically, January 20, 1961 - November 22, 1963, a.k.a. Classes of 1979-1982)
They were born in the early 60's during John F. Kennedy administration before his assassination. This group is on the cusp of Gen X, but is way more Baby Boomer than Gen X. They were kids in the late 60's during the Summer of Love '67, the assassinations of Martin Luther King Jr. and Robert F. Kennedy, the tumultuous year of 1968, the moon landing, Woodstock '69, Kent State '70, etc. They were teens in the late 70's during the rise of New Wave and the peak of Disco, before dying out around 1980. They were probably the very first video game teenagers since the Atari was released in 1977 when they were underclassmen in high school. They came of age during the rise of arcades, the Iran hostage crisis, the early 80's recession, 1980 election, death of John Lennon, inauguration and failed assassination of Ronald Reagan, etc. They are largely the children of the Hoover and FDR-born Silents, and the parents of the Reagan, Bush Sr., and Clinton-born Millennials, give or take.

Generation X = b. 1964-1980 (specifically, November 22, 1963 - January 20, 1981, a.k.a. Classes of 1982-1999)

Early Xers = b. 1964-1968 (specifically, November 22, 1963 - January 20, 1969, a.k.a. Classes of 1982-1987)
They were born in the mid-late 60's, after John F. Kennedy's assassination and during the Lyndon B. Johnson administration, at the peak of the Vietnam War. This group cusps with the Baby Boomers and is a lot more Gen X than Boomer. They are probably the first to not really remember the 60's decade, the peak cultural decade for the Boomers in every aspect (the 1970's was more quintessentially Baby Boomer in youth but childhood culture was Gen X-oriented). They were the main group of "70's kids" and the ones most nostalgic of their 70's childhood and 80's teenage years. Most of the 80's teen movies had actors in this cohort. They came of age during the early years of MTV, crack & AIDS epidemic, Iran-Contra affair, Challenger explosion, Cold War, etc. They are largely the children of the Hoover and FDR-born Silents, and the parents of the Bush Sr., Clinton-born Millennials, as well as the Bush Jr.-born Zoomers, give or take.

Core Xers = b. 1969-1976 (specifically January 20, 1969 - January 20, 1977, a.k.a. Classes of 1987-1995)
There are two cores: Core Xers I & Core Xers II.

Core Xers I = b. 1969-1974 (specifically, January 20, 1969 - August 9, 1974, a.k.a. Classes of 1987-1992)
They were mainly born in the early 70's during the Richard Nixon administration up until his resignation. This group has little to no remaining Boomer influence and are pretty solidly Gen X. Their main childhood was in the mid-late 70's and the early 80's, while having a nearly pure 80's adolescence. They were the first true video game generation as they grew up with the Atari as kids, played at arcades as tweens, and had the NES as teenagers. They were the main "Hair Metal, New Jack Swing, Grunge" teens of the mid-late 80's and very early 90's. They came of age during the tail end of the Cold War, fall of the Berlin War, collapse of the USSR, release of Nelson Mandela from prison and end of apartheid, beatings of Rodney King & LA riots, etc. They are largely children of the FDR-born Silents and the Truman-born Boomers, and the parents of the Clinton-born Millennials and Bush Jr.-born Zoomers, give or take.

Core Xers II = b. 1975-1976 (specifically, August 9, 1974 - January 20, 1977, a.k.a. Classes of 1992-1995)
They were born in the mid 70's during the Gerald Ford administration, after Nixon resigned. This group is the core representative of Generation X, similar to their Nixon-born counterparts. They have little to no Millennial traits, also very solidly Gen X. Their main childhood happened in the early Reagan era of the early 80's, and core teen years were in the early 90's, so they would have been the core Grunge teens. They came of age after the Cold War ended, during the WTC bombing, death of Kurt Cobain, etc. They are largely children of the FDR-born Silents and the Truman-born Boomers, and the parents of the Clinton-born Millennials and Bush Jr. Zoomers, give or take.

Late Xers = b. 1977-1980 (specifically, January 20, 1977 - January 20, 1981, a.k.a. Classes of 1995-1999)
They were born in the late 70's during the Jimmy Carter administration. This group cusps with Millennials, so they have major Millennial traits. They were the main "80's kids" and teenagers during the Grunge, flannel, Gangsta Rap, dark core 90's, and young adults in the late 90's/early 00's. They came of age during the OJ Simpson trials, launch of Windows 95, Tupac and Biggie assassinations, Princess Diana's death, Monica Lewinsky scandal, etc. They are largely the children of the Truman and Eisenhower-born Boomers, and the parents of the Bush Jr. and Obama-born Zoomers, give or take.

Millennials = b. 1981-2000 (specifically, January 20, 1981 - January 20, 2001, a.k.a. Classes of 1999-2019)

Early Millennials = b. 1981-1984 (specifically, January 20, 1981 - January 20, 1985, a.k.a. Classes 1999-2003)
They were born in the early 80's during the Ronald Reagan's first term. This group cusps with Gen X, so they have major X traits. They were the main late 80's & early 90's kids and teens of the late 90's. They never spent a day in high school without the internet (Windows 95) and were all in high school for Columbine & Y2K, some were even in high school during 9/11. They came of age during the Columbine shootings, Y2K, the new millennium (hence the term "Millennials"), 9/11, the start of the Iraq War, etc. They are largely the children of the Truman, Eisenhower, and JFK-born Boomers, and the parents of the Bush Jr. and Obama-born Zoomers, give or take.

Core Millennials = b. 1985-1996 (specifically, January 20, 1985 - January 20, 1997, a.k.a. Classes of 2003-2015)
There are three groups of Core Millennials: Core Millennials I, Core Millennials II, and Core Millennials III

Core Millennials I = b. 1985-1988 (specifically, January 20, 1985 - January 20, 1989, a.k.a. Classes of 2003-2007)
They were born in the mid-late 80's during Ronald Reagan's second term. This group has some leftover X traits, but too solidly Millennial to be on the cusp. They were the main group of "90's kids" that so embraced their childhoods in the 90's the most that they would brag about it online and helped form a lot of the 90's nostalgia from the late 00's to mid 10's before going mainstream. They were "Y2K era" early 00's and "MySpace era" core 00's teenagers who were the last to spend a good chunk of high school before social media blew up and the middle & high schoolers during 9/11. They came of age during the Iraq War, SARS pandemic, rise of social media, Hurricane Katrina, Pluto no longer labeled as a planet, etc. They are largely the children of the Truman, Eisenhower and JFK-born Boomers, and the parents of the Obama-born Zoomers, as well as the Trump-born Alpha, give or take.

Core Millennials II = b. 1989-1992 (specifically, January 20, 1989 - January 20, 1993, a.k.a. Classes of 2007-2011)
They were born in the early 90's during the George H.W. Bush administration. This group is the most quintessential Millennial cohort with absolutely no traits of neighboring generation. They were the younger "90's kids" that were a lot more gatekeepy with the "90's kid" label towards the younger 90's babies that didn't make the cutoff than their mid-late 80's born counterparts (even though they are more 90's kids than the early 90's borns). These were the peak emo teens of the mid-late 00's. They came of age during the Virginia Tech shooting, release of the iPhone, Great Recession, 2008 election, H1N1 pandemic, Iraq War, etc. They are largely the children of the Eisenhower and JFK-born Boomers, as well as the LBJ-born Xers, and the parents of the Obama-born Zoomers, as well as the Trump and future-born Alpha, give or take.

Core Millennials III = b. 1993-1996 (specifically, January 20, 1993 - January 20, 1997, a.k.a. Classes of 2011-2015)
They were born in the mid 90's during the first term of Bill Clinton. This group has some overlapping Z influence, but are still very strongly Millennial. They were the main early 2000's kids and were the last to remember any part of the 90's. They were the main scene and electropop teens of the early 2010's. They came of age during the Osama Bin Laden assassination, end of the Iraq War, Occupy Wall Street, 2012 election, Aurora & Sandy Hook shooting, 2012 apocalypse, smartphones going mainstream and fully accessible, peak of SJW movements, rise of ISIS & BLM, Ebola, etc. They are largely the children of the Eisenhower and JFK-born Boomers, as well as the LBJ and the Nixon/Ford Xers, and the parents of Generation Alpha, give or take.

Late Millennials = b. 1997-2000 (specifically, January 20, 1997 - January 20, 2001, a.k.a. Classes of 2015-2019)
They were born in the late 90's during the second term of Bill Clinton. This group cusps with Gen Z, and has some strong Z influence. They were the main "2000's kids" that don't remember the 90's at all and were preteens as the 2010's rolled around. They were the main core 2010's teens. They came of age during the legalization of gay marriage, backlash of BLM, rise of anti-SJW movements, 2016 election, Pulse & Parkland shooting, etc. They are largely the children of the Eisenhower and JFK-born Boomers, as well as the LBJ and the Nixon/Ford Xers, and the parents of Generation Alpha, give or take.

Generation Z = b. 2001-2017 (specifically, January 20, 2001 - January 20, 2017, a.k.a. Classes of 2019-2035)

Early Gen Z = b. 2001-2004 (specifically, January 20, 2001 - January 20, 2005, a.k.a. Classes of 2019-2023)
They were born in the early 00's during the first term of George W. Bush. This group cusps with Millennials and has some strong Millennial influence. They are the first to not be able to remember the early 00's (all Millennials have some memory of that era, even if it was super vague). They were the main late 2000's and early 2010's kids and the first group of kids totally removed from the 90's and 20th century (the oldest were technically conceived in the 20th century). They are all the first post-9/11 born generation (the oldest were alive before it, though). They are currently coming of age and the only major event so far is the coronavirus pandemic that shifted their school careers and lives forever, not just affecting them but people of all ages. They were largely the children of the LBJ, Nixon/Ford, and Carter-born Xers, as well as the Reagan-born Millennials, and the parents of Generation Alpha and beyond, give or take.

Core Gen Z = b. 2005-2012 (specifically, January 20, 2005 - January 20, 2013, a.k.a. Classes of 2023-2031)
There are two cores of Gen Z: Core Gen Z I & Core Gen Z II

Core Gen Z I = b. 2005-2008 (specifically, January 20, 2005 - January 20, 2009, a.k.a. Classes of 2023-2027)
They were born in the mid-late 00's during the second term of George W. Bush. This group is the first to really have ultimately no Millennial traits and are 100% Zoomer. They don't have any memory of the release of the iPhone, Great Recession, 2008 election, etc. They were the main 2010's kids, and are the last to have a 100%, full childhood experience prior to COVID-19, as they all turned 11 (where I end childhood at) in January 2020 and earlier, before the virus even came to the US (it was just in Wuhan, China at the time, so the US and almost the whole world was living in a pre-COVID environment), so they are the last true pre-COVID kids. They grew up on games like Minecraft, Roblox, etc., as well as being the first kids of Fortnite, despite their childhood being nearly over with at that point. They will come of age in the core of the 2020's but for now they are in their early teens as underclassmen in high school at best. They are largely the children of the LBJ, Nixon/Ford, and Carter-born Xers, as well as the Reagan-born Millennials, and the parents of Generation Alpha and beyond, give or take.

Core Gen Z II = b. 2009-2012 (specifically, January 20, 2009 - January 20, 2013, a.k.a. Classes of 2027-2031)
They were born in the early 10's during the first term of Barack Hussein Obama. This group is the last to have no remote Alpha traits and are 100% Zoomer. They grew up as kids in the late 2010's, and they were the last to spend a majority of their childhood pre-COVID19 but are the first to still witness childhood during it, though they are the older kids of it. They are the first core Fortnite kids, since they were all at peak childhood age as the game came out in 2017 and beyond. They don't have any memory of the Sandy Hook shooting, 2012 apocalypse but were born before it (the youngest weren't), a pre-ISIS world, etc. They are largely the children of the Carter-born Xers, as well as the Reagan and Bush Sr.-born Millennials, give or take.

Late Gen Z = b. 2013-2017 (specifically, January 20, 2013 - January 20, 2017, a.k.a. Classes of 2031-2035)
They were born in the mid 10's during the second term of Barack Hussein Obama. This group cusps with Gen Alpha, so they have major Alpha traits. They are growing up as kids currently throughout the early 2020's in a COVID-19 world. They are also core Fortnite kids but probably don't remember a world before it, neither do they remember a world before the legalization of gay marriage, the 2016 election, the Parkland shooting, etc. They might be the last to remember a pre-COVID19 world. They will all come of age a whole decade from now in the early 2030's. They are largely the children of the Carter-born Xers, as well as the Reagan and Bush Sr.-born Millennials, give or take.

Generation Alpha = b. 2017- most likely 2032 (specifically, January 20, 2017 - January 20, 2033, a.k.a. Classes of 2035-2051)

Early Alpha = b. 2017-2020 (specifically, January 20, 2017 - January 20, 2021, a.k.a. Classes of 2035-2039)
They were born in the late 10's and are still being born as of now during the first term of Donald J. Trump. Not much to say about them at all as the oldest just entered their childhood. They will not remember a pre-COVID world but most of them were born before it happened. They will be able to remember the aftermath and that is what makes them a new generation, as well as some other factors. They are largely the children of the Reagan, Bush Sr., and Clinton-born Boomers, give or take.

The Alpha kids born 2021+ are not even born yet and could possibly even be Biden babies instead of Trump babies 2.0.
So what do you think about this?

2020.09.26 05:54 xnopunchespulledx Reality of paralegal jobs.

Hey y’all,
I’ve never been on Reddit until today so please forgive me if this isn’t the right thread to ask about this.
I just wanted to see what perspectives you have about the profession. I’m not an incredibly social person and I wanted to get a realistic opinion as to if you think this might be a detriment to working as a paralegal. I’m pretty introverted but not afraid to ask questions or get clarification about things. I love working independently and am very focused.I’m not mean or unfriendly but I’d say almost every job in my life would describe me as “quiet” and unfortunately I feel there is some strange stigma attached to being introverted or quiet in many settings. The meaningless interactions is really what drains me. I worry that maybe I won’t be extroverted enough to be successful in a role like this despite of the other qualities I have. I’m really intimidated about what the working environment will be like.
You will probably laugh at this but sometimes at work I have to share the elevator with the staff from the PA’s office and I feel like they suck the air right out of it. I’ve had multiple instances where I do really basic things like hold the door open for them or hold the elevator for them and they act like I don’t exist. No hi, bye, thanks, or otherwise. I identified either the PA, PD, or the courts as the area I would like to potentially work in following school. I’m not really sure what I was expecting, but to date, I don’t think I’ve had a pleasant interaction with anybody from those departments. I’ve never had conflict with them either though. It’s very awkward. Also, in trying to see if I could finish my CWE hours through the PD’s office, he just straight up never responded to my emails. The professoprogram head of my program has kind of been a raunch too. Kind of feels disheartening.
I guess I’m just hoping this isn’t something that is normal because I’ve interacted with a lot of other employees across different departments and they have all been, well, not like that. Is this common behavior in PA, PD, and court settings? Should I shift my focus to another area of practice that I’m interested in? Should I abandon this completely?
A little background:
I have a really decent job with a local county doing scanning, indexing, other clerical tasks and I have about close to 5 years experience in roles directly related to document scanning and data entry. I was enrolled in the online Paralegal Studies program at Umpqua Community College but I switched my major because I was concerned about being able to take the time off from work to complete the cooperative work experience hours in the second year of the program. I settled on getting an AGS degree and a certificate in legal assisting so I didn’t waste all my LA classes for nothing. The certificate requires less CWE hours than the AAS degree did and my boss sounded like he would be open to accommodating some flexibility in my schedule to finish the 2 credits as opposed to 6. I didn’t want to push it but I see a lot of job postings want an associates degree so now I’m wondering if I should find a way to finish the AAS.
I would really appreciate any input!

2020.09.26 03:53 anonsecopsa310 Late 40's [M4F] - USA/ Global - You Want Honesty?

You may (have) lament(ed in the past) about how you're unsuccessful with online dating, perhaps among other reasons, because he's/ they're not honest/ forthright regarding (the majority of) his/ their potential dealbreakers.
If true... I suspect you'd prefer such potential dealbreakers on his/ their end be revealed to the extent pragmatically feasible (given the then-prevailing circumstances) before you were to decide whether to invest your most holistically valuable resource - your time and personal (emotional/ mental) energy - into what could become an intense mental/ emotional conversation with said prospective suitor.
"Much Time/ Energy/ Heartbreak Could Be Saved, If He/ They Were Just Honest, and Up Front!", I (proverbially) hear you say. Probably.
But the problem with such an approach is... Such never works in practice. Such an approach has a ~ 100% failure rate.
Why?
Because there are many, many competing options for your time/ attention/ energy... And all else being equal (and they never are - "It's Complicated")... You're more likely to choose the more attractive over the more truthful option.
To be clear... This isn't a gender-specific thing: generally-speaking, people - regardless of gender - don't want unvarnished truth. They want attractive "truth".
Among many other reasons... This is why:
And as the level of intimacy grows... So do the stakes (IMO).
Case in point: this thread explains a few bits about me. Although not intentionally NSFW, a few NSFW tidbits must be included for sake of the goal, esp. given what appear to be some women's too-often-unspoken search criteria... :- It provides potentially interested women with with far-greater-than-average insight into the sort/ type of person they could (not) choose to begin an exploratory conversation with - in this case, me. And little of it is flattering... Intentionally so.
I'm selfish, impatient and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I am out of control and at times hard to handle. But if you can't handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best. - Marilyn Monroe
This is not the first time I have publicly posted a link to the above. Little has changed since it was originally authored. To-date, not a single conversation resulting from the above-linked has survived beyond a single at-length private chat.
I generally don't believe such is my "fault", per se. But perhaps I'm delusional: the only party present during all of the above-described conversations was me, after all. But I'm pretty sure that not all women can/ will find me equally repulsive/ incompatible. After all: I do have some modicum of self-respect... If not also self-love to accompany the certain self-loathing.
While I'll be the first to agree that I may yet prove objectively conventionally unattractive... I more so suspect that all interested women to-date simply have had more attractive options available to them.
But have/ are those options been as truthful to he them? As forthright? I can't help but ask.
If you've yet to review the above-linked... Are you the exception who will prove the rule (that most - not all - prefer attractive "truth" over unvarnished truth)? Or, alternatively... Will you be attracted to precisely what repulses most?
In either case... If so... I, for one, would value you quite highly.
I'll admit: I'm still waiting for such a lady to reveal herself to me. I very much forward to multiple at-length conversations with her. I want this very much.
[And I get it: I'm not the only Knight in shining Nikes... And some of them will be taller, richer, darker, wear better armor, and/or be more handsome/ better endowed than I. I can't win against The Rest of The Internet. Mea Culpa!]
